Z.Johnson "The Science of Romance: Why We Flirt"

"Once we've learned the game of maybe, it becomes second nature to us." (Paragraph 9 of Luscombe's Article)

Paraphrase x 3

1. Once we learn how to flirt, we do it all the time.

2. Once we have flirted successfully, we do it without realizing.

3. Once we learn the game of flirting, we use the strategy all the time.

Thesis: "Long after we need to play it, we're still in there swinging (so to speak) because we're better at it than other games."

Freewrite: This sentence talks about the thrill of flirting and how flirting can become a subconscious action. It could imply that some people partake in flirting without even realizing it, or it could also imply that flirting is actually a "game". Flirting is a fun thing to do, so why wouldn't you do it all the time?
