This is a picture of a man and his 7 month year old son looking at a billboard containing a Calvin Klein advertisement. The ad shows a girl who looks fairly young laying on a couch on top of one guy while kissing another guy and then there's a third guy laying on the floor beside the couch. The ad seems to be suggesting what looks as if a threesome is about to occur. The individuals are wearing very little clothing and their body language seems sexual. The purpose of the ad is to show how attractive the brand is and how irresistible an individual is while wearing the clothing. The brands name is also plastered right across the middle of the image in a location where it is sure to be spotted. The ad is supposed to lure viewers into buying the product, however it has actually turned viewers away by its sexual nature. Wearing the clothing will not actually bring about the situation shown in the ad. Attraction is brought about by much more then an article of clothing as the ad seems to suggest.

  1. I think that this ad is aimed at young consumers, like ourselves, but as a young adult I don't feel this ad is very convincing. Although they are trying to sell their product as something that will cause sexual attraction, I don't think that it is very successful at that. I agree with you that their is more to attraction than just what you are wearing.

  2. I agree with both of you about this ad. I feel this ad would work better with younger audiences then adults. Adults are in relationships and have partners, while young adults and college students are most likely single. Therefore I feel college students would not think much about this ad, while adults would think it is absurd.
