Paraphrase x3

"Just as we learn a kind of script for how to behave in a restaurant or at a business meeting... we learn a script for talking to the opposite sex."

Paraphrase x3:

1. There are certain ways to act in a restaurant or meeting, just like we learn a way for talking to men and women.
2. There are scripts for countless situations, just as we learn one for speaking to the opposite sex.
3. Everyone learns a socially acceptable way of acting in situations just like we learn how to flirt with the opposite sex.

Freewriting:
This passage implies that we only act the way we know how or what is socially accepted toward the opposite sex. It explains that flirting is what we do, whether we know it or not. The passage matters to illustrate what we're doing sometimes without even knowing it.

Thesis: "One of the reasons we flirt in this way is that we can't help it. We're programmed to do it, whether by biology or culture."
